My turn

Today was my first day of orientation at Midwestern University where I am a medical student. Wow, I can say that now. I've been waiting so long to be able to say that. And today I got fitted for my white coat and received a pair of scrubs. It still feels surreal but is beginning to register in my mind the choice I have made. Yesterday I bought a new car. Tonight is the inspection for my new house. Classes begin next Monday. My only wish is that my best friend were able to join me on my journey here, not thousands of miles away. But we can't have everything, and I feel that I have been blessed with so much, that I am pretty darn close...
